These were the results for the NBA games played yesterday, November 10, 2024:
Houston 101-99 Detroit
Alperen Sengun’s late-game heroics lifted the Houston Rockets to a 101-99 win over the Detroit Pistons. Sengun scored five of his 27 points in the final minutes, including a crucial putback that gave the Rockets the lead. Detroit fought back, but Tobias Harris missed a critical free throw in the final second, sealing the Rockets' victory. Cade Cunningham led Detroit with 26 points, narrowly missing a fourth consecutive triple-double. Tari Eason contributed 18 points, and Malik Beasley’s three triples spurred Detroit’s brief comeback. The Rockets now prepare to face the Wizards.
Boston 113-107 Milwaukee
Jayson Tatum’s 31-point performance helped the Boston Celtics overcome a nine-point halftime deficit to defeat the Milwaukee Bucks 113-107. Tatum sealed the win with late free throws, while Payton Pritchard added 18 points, keeping Boston in the game during the first half. Giannis Antetokounmpo led Milwaukee with a season-high 43 points and 13 rebounds, but the Bucks struggled offensively in the third quarter, scoring just 15 points. Despite a strong start, Milwaukee’s recent struggles continued, marking their eighth loss in nine games.
NY Knicks 121-132 Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers defeated the New York Knicks 132-121 in a high-scoring showdown on Sunday. Bennedict Mathurin led the Pacers with a career-high 38 points, including seven 3-pointers, while Tyrese Haliburton added 35 points and 14 assists. Myles Turner contributed 26 points as Indiana nailed a season-high 21 three-pointers, outscoring New York 63-21 from beyond the arc. Despite a strong performance from Jalen Brunson, who posted 33 points and 10 assists, and Karl-Anthony Towns' 30 points and nine rebounds, the Knicks couldn't keep up in the final stretch. New York held a narrow lead heading into the fourth quarter but struggled to contain Indiana's red-hot shooting. The Pacers capitalized with a decisive 8-of-13 shooting from deep in the final period. New York’s defense faltered, and a lack of forced turnovers allowed Indiana to control the pace.
Washington 94-121 Orlando
The Orlando Magic pulled away in the second half to secure a 121-94 win over the Washington Wizards, led by Franz Wagner's 23 points and seven assists. Goga Bitadze added a double-double, while Orlando’s bench contributed 54 points, including a perfect 3-for-3 from deep by rookie Jett Howard. Jordan Poole scored 24 for Washington, but the team’s defensive struggles continued as they allowed the Magic to hit 17 threes. A critical third-quarter run, sparked by a Wizards’ transition foul, sealed Orlando’s second straight blowout win at home.
Charlotte 105-107 Philadelphia
The Philadelphia 76ers edged out the Charlotte Hornets 107-105 in overtime, snapping a five-game skid. Rookie Jared McCain led the Sixers with a career-high 27 points, including 23 in the second half and overtime, while Guerschon Yabusele added 20. Charlotte’s LaMelo Ball had a game-high 38 points, including a clutch 3-pointer to force overtime, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win. Despite missing key players, Philadelphia capitalized on free throws in overtime to seal their first non-regulation victory of the season.
Miami 95-94 Minnesota
The Miami Heat edged out the Minnesota Timberwolves 95-94, snapping their three-game losing streak thanks to Nikola Jovic's clutch three-point play with 7.8 seconds left. Jovic, contributing 15 points and seven rebounds off the bench, gave Miami their first lead since the third quarter. Tyler Herro led the Heat with 26 points, while Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards struggled, shooting 8-for-24 despite scoring 22 points. A missed buzzer-beater by Mike Conley sealed the Timberwolves’ fate, ending their three-game winning streak.
Golden State 127-116 Oklahoma
Stephen Curry dropped 36 points to lead the Golden State Warriors past the Oklahoma City Thunder 127-116, snapping OKC’s perfect home record. The Warriors built a 30-point lead before fending off a late Thunder rally, with key contributions from Jonathan Kuminga (20 points) and De’Anthony Melton (19 points, 10 rebounds). Oklahoma City’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 24, but the team struggled defensively after losing Chet Holmgren to a first-quarter hip injury. Curry sealed the win with a clutch three-pointer late, as Golden State shot over 50% for the first time against the Thunder this season.
Dallas 120-122 Denver
The Denver Nuggets edged out the Dallas Mavericks in a thrilling 122-120 victory. Michael Porter Jr.'s clutch mid-range jumper with seconds remaining sealed the deal for Denver, extending their winning streak to five games. Nikola Jokic once again dominated with a triple-double, while Kyrie Irving led the Mavericks with a season-high 43 points. Both teams traded baskets throughout the fourth quarter, with the Nuggets ultimately prevailing in a back-and-forth battle.
Sacramento 127-118 Phoenix
The Sacramento Kings snapped the Phoenix Suns' seven-game winning streak with a 127-118 overtime victory. DeMar DeRozan led the Kings with 34 points, including the team's first eight points in overtime. The Suns were without Kevin Durant, who was sidelined with an injury. Despite a late-game surge, the Suns couldn't overcome the Kings' strong performance.
Memphis 134-89 Portland
The Memphis Grizzlies dominated the Portland Trail Blazers, securing a 134-89 victory. Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Grizzlies with 20 points and seven rebounds. The Grizzlies, despite missing key players like Ja Morant, Marcus Smart, and Desmond Bane, showcased their depth and defensive prowess. The Trail Blazers struggled offensively, shooting poorly from the field and the three-point line.
Toronto 103-123 LA Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Toronto Raptors 123-103, with LeBron James recording his second consecutive triple-double. Anthony Davis, who was leading the league in scoring, left the game early due to an eye injury. Austin Reaves contributed 27 points to the Lakers' victory. The Raptors struggled offensively and couldn't keep up with the Lakers' scoring pace.
